Liza ( Lee-sah ) Corette Pitts aka Dont Sleep because you never know what to expect when the music hits this woman and the energy and movement Takes over. Born and raised in Yonkers NY Liza House Dance Journey Began in 2004 at the age of 28 years of age. Now going on 12 years Liza Claims the movement found her and she just needed the music that would compliment her feelings, Liza Lost her mom and House Became her Medicine she wished she could have House and Her mom but she knows that her mom lives inside the music that continue to heal her Heart til this day.

With no Formal training just a need to contain the sadness and anger that comes along with grieving. Liza Would spend countless hours on the dancefloor Digging Deep, Testing her limits, Absorbing the Music, Exchanging with Dancers that were stronger and more Fluid that Liza was .

 

Pushing herself to find Her Soul, strength and happiness Liza Mosaic Style of movement is heavily influenced by Hip Hop, House, Jungle, Jazz, capoeira,Classic Soul  and Nature

  Liza has danced for recording artist such as ManchildBlack, Koffee Paige, Ann Nesby, Big Hair Girls and The Swift Project. Performed at well known venues Cielo, Pacha, Sullivan Room, The Green House and the Five Spot. She also Co Founded two Well Known Dance Companies that are still inspiring new Dancers to start their own and to help keep the movement going and growing. 

 

Afro Mosaic Soul 2005 inspired dancers to get in touch with their roots and soul and use that energy to connect on the Dance Floor. Mawu Dance from 2007-2013 We inspired Young Women Around the world by being a diverse Dance Company All Women . As Liza Parted ways to start her own Theater Company to focus on the stories we all carry inside of us and only Music and Movement can tell it.

 

Liza Has taught inside Dance Studios, Public and Charter Schools, Teaching the History and foundation of Hip Hop and House Dance Because she feel the history is just as important as the Movement.  From New Paltz to Boston to Buffalo to Yonkers to Long Island and Back to Nyc Liza Dream is to be able to share her love for house in other countries and feed off the energy and share stories with the dancers around the world. Liza Believes everyone has a story to tell with their hearts and and  her goal is to continue teaching, dancing,talking helping everyone young and old find their strength and happiness and put all of it into Movement and heal the world.
